Testimonials

"Having grown up just outside of Boston, riding horses was never an option for me, but when I moved to the country, Jen made that dream a reality.  She was very patient and took the time to explain how important the care and grooming of the horse was to the whole process.  She taught me (a complete beginner) how to groom a horse, how to tack up a horse, how to walk the horse and how to trot on the horse - something I never thought I'd be able to do.  I'd highly recommend Jen and Old Coach Farm - if she can teach a 42 year old city girl to ride a horse, she can do just about anything!"

"I have been a student at Jen's facility for over two years.  Jen is a great instructor. She shows patience and she cares about her students. If you go for a half an hour private lesson, your there for about two. You take care of your horse, before and after your ride, and you get to go on a trail ride after the lesson. She builds you up slowly to something new, so your not so nervous when you try it, like your first show, or your first time cantering. She is always very supportive and will work you through things step by step. She is funny and can relate to almost anything. She is great to be around and an awesome people person. She is great and I would recommend her to any person who wants an understanding and caring instructor, Jen is the one for you."

"If you're looking for professional, individualized attention to meet your equine goals I highly recommend Old Coach Farm.

I have had the pleasure of being Jen's riding student and I have also enlisted her for continued training of my young horse.  Having been out of the horse business for many years, my riding skills were rusty and, well, my confidence oxidized. It was a priority for me to find a barn that offered an environment suitable for adults, and without the show pressure. Working with Jen and the horses at OCF turned out to be that and much more.

Jen has great sensitivity for people and horses; as a riding student, at each and every lesson, I felt Jen's investment in me. She provided a tailored program, on a safe horse, which enabled me to find the self-belief to advance.

As a trainer, my Fjord responded wonderfully to Jen. He had been started slowly with a mixture of driving and riding, trail and ring work. She worked with his existing foundation, and at his pace (he's no TB either!) refined the basics and reinforced how to be flexible and giving very much tailored to my needs. Physically, he looked like a new model!

Jen is dedicated to her students and the horses on her farm. I trail ride (mostly alone), on a young horse, thanks to the help and support from Jen. Finding OCF was finding the experience and the caring in one package. I enjoy every aspect of the atmosphere well organized and friendly!"

"Jen has helped me in many ways with horses through the years. She is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. Jen has a passion for horses that was evident the first time we met. She helped me with training my 2 year old. We achieved things together though the years that would not have been possible without Jen's help. With Jen's instruction I definitely became a more "well rounded" rider. I also jumped courses that I didn't know I was capable of. She builds your confidence and gives you the right tools no matter what level rider you are. I would recommend Jen to anyone no matter what your future goals are. Thank you Old Coach Farm!"
